I used to have Boris Farbiaz's address, on Long Island, but can't find it. Also, Melanie Watson, from Miami, and living in England, last I heard. Anybody know? I used to see articles by George Putz in Woodenboat...what happened?

Hmmm. Seeing Moose and Frank together might be worth the trip to this old fogey orgy. I'm still looking for Naomi Bernstein. I'd even settle for Koren Hovsepian. Or that very cute brunette who lived somewhere nearby and was a 'day' student.

Bill Congdon is no longer in Shrewsbury, VT. He was living there for some time after his time in Philadelphia immediately after the College closed., He had built a house with Anna on the back side of Killington, but has moved on. I was thinking about buying the house he had built, but it was not for sell by the current owner. I subsequently purchased property down the road a mile or so. He is off the grid, I believe by his own choosing. I have the phone number for Anna somewhere, but she did not reply to my letter I had sent her last year. I had tracked him down through mutual friends, more or less from curiosities from some postings I read on the FC Forum. She and Bill are no longer married. The boys (John & Billy) are well the last time I heard.

Why hasn't Larry Kelly's name been added to the memorial List? Big Man and I were both at his funeral. I can also attest that Michelle Henthorn has been heard from. In fact she's in the kitchen right now. (Larry would appreciate that and Michelle will never see it) Lenny

Ticonderoga, the only William or Bill Congdon I can find in Vermont is listed in Bennington, not Shrewsbury. Is this him or someone else?

I just perused the big list and note at least two names missing: Ann Wolfe, my sister, graduated in 1975, and Penny Wilson, sister of Plesah, graduated around the same time. Ann Wolfe is now Ann Trainor and lives near Worcester MA and knows about the reunion. Penny lives in South Dakota. Plesah can provide details (I know you are out there, Plesah...) This list makes me nervous about the state of the State of New Hampshire's records.....

WAS BORED AT WORK, SO WENT BROWSING THE WEB AND DISCOVERED THIS SITE! MY SISTER, RANDEE GLASSMAN, ATTENDED FRANCONIA, YRS. I'M NOT SURE MAYBE 70-72. SHE WAS 16 YRS. OLD AND FROM WEST VIRGINIA. SHE LIVED IN THE LOG CABIN AT FIRST, AND THEN IN THAT BIG WOODEN COMMUNAL DORM__WHAT WAS THAT CALLED? SHE REFUSES TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE INTERNET, AND WILL NEVER DISCUSS FRANCONIA__REASONS UNKNOWN TO ME. I DO KNOW SHE WAS DEVASTATED BY THE DEATH OF HER VERY GOOD FRIEND, CISCO...AND LEFT THE SCHOOL WITH BAD FEELINGS. I WILL INFORM HER OF THIS SITE AND OF THE REUNION AND SEE WHAT SHE SAYS. SHE HAS 2 VERY YOUNG SONS, LIVES IN AUSTIN, TX., AND HAS HER OWN MFCC PRACTICE AND IS VERY WELL.I, TOO, LIVED AT FRANCONIA, AS A HANGER ON, FREE SPIRIT, FLOWER CHILD. MY DEAREST FRIENDS WERE CISCO AND MUFF, AND AM VERY SORRY TO SEE THAT MUFF PASSED ON AS WELL. I AM INTERESTED IN DETAILS OF HIS LIFE IF ANYONE KNOWS. HE WAS VERY SUPPORTIVE AND KIND TO ME DURING THAT TIME,I WAS RATHER LOST. I NOW LIVE IN THE WOODS OF NORTH CAROLINA, AM A LIBRARIAN, AND AM SOON TO HAVE A MEMOIR PUBLISHED ABOUT MY RUNAWAY TEEN LIFE ON THE ROAD AND ON THE INFAMOUS CALIF HIPPIE COMMUNE MORNINGSTAR/WHEELERS RANCH WHERE MY 28 YR OLD SON WAS CONCEIVED! LIFE IS GOOD. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL. I'LL PASS THE NEWS TO RANDEE, NOW KNOWN AS SEJA RACHAEL.LOVE, JODI

I finally tracked down Maya Chatterjee. She is now a Doctor in RI, specializing in infectious deseases, specifically AIDS & HIV, but is unlikely to come to the reunion as she is moving to CO momentarily. I'll try to get some pictures out of her before thay get packed but she sounded pretty busy.

Jim Weidlein is going to call Peter about the reunion. I don't have Peter's phone, address or email. Should I assume that Chip Rockefeller and Avery Rockefeller are one and the same person?

I see that Jim Weidlien is listed as found. Did the person who found him ask him where his brother Peter and Peter's wife Cindy are? Peter and Cindy were from Mt Kisco before moving to NH. They lived in a red house in Littleton that they bought. Jim lived in Littleton, too. He shared an apartment with Chip Rockefeller.

Yahoo's People Search turned up an M Chatterjee in Brunswick ME. I do know that Maya was the daughter of a Bowdoin professor. I imagine adding her to the list is but a phone call away. I spoke with Bruce Taub (faculty 67-68) several months ago. He was friendly on the phone, but not particularly interested in reliving the FC era, which he regards as a spot on the lung of his life. Or maybe a lump on the breast of his life.

I attended the college from 1970-1973 and then left to play outside jazz in NYC. I now run an eConsultancy (http://www.redpointi.com) with offices in New York and California (who would believe it). Marty Kuwahara died falling down an airshaft while doing "something" on an apartment roof in Chicago. He was my roommate for a year and I often think of him. My favorite summer was when staying in Bethlehem (does anybody remember who's apartment I crashed in, I do) the Exorcist was playing at the movie theater, the Hasidim were chanting on Friday nights and that little guru guy's (can't remember his name) followers were running a restaurant on main street. Very groovy, man. Who remembers the David Bromberg weekend?

Nora Paley Found is still the daughter of the emminent Grace Paley who lives somewhere in the northern Connecticut Valley of Vermont. Someone in the Bethlehem contingent must have a handle on how to locate Grace and hence Nora. Allen Sherman, who is aware of the reunion, lived before he went to Franconia at the Quarry Hill Commune in Rochester Vermont and he has lived there ever since. I ran into him last month at the Borders in Burlington and his presence at the reunion is not out of the question.

William Hunting should have been listed as William Huntington. Most know him familiarly as "Will" though some may remember him as "Boy". He is married to Franconia College student Leslie Platt. They currently live on a nice farm in Lyman, New Hampshire, not far from old 'Coney Valley. They have 3 children. Somebody should contact them, they're in the local phone book.

Time to emerge. Just found out about this site from a postcard sent to me (how on earth did whomever find me way out here?) and am delighted. I was at Franconia in '71 - '72 and would love to find some of the old faces. Unfortunately, I've lost most of the names. If you knew me, please indulge my seive-like mental qualities and get in touch. I do remember Cary McGowan, who pierced my ear in the hallway, Cindy Frawley, Phillip Zweig and that guy who said he was the son of Adam on Bonanza. Oh, yes - Michelle Oppenheimer was there then. She and I lived together for about 7 years before she married my best friend (also the fiddle player in my band). I still hear from her now and again, and have her phone number if the sysop here needs it. She is out in California. As for me, I've migrated up to the Pacific Northwest in the unlikely town of Puyallup, WA. Stop by if you are in the area...

TOM GOODWIN was from Cauldwell, NJ & a highschool friend of Allan Lee Bree there, but during his brief enrollment at Franconia 1965 his family was moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia. 4 years later while in Marrakech, Morocco, I knew a young woman from Halifax who referred to Tom Goodwin as "King of the Halifax Hippies", so maybe he's still there.

My name is Barry Nelson and it's been a while since I've thought about Franconia but the memories are still quite vivid. I was at Franconia from 1970 to 1973 and I actually received my B.A. which was a feat in itself given my mental state during that period of time. I lived with some friends on a farm in Bethlehem on the River Road. The only person I am in touch with is Gordon Dexter who lives in Maine. I remember a teacher named Katie who taught a class in Child Development and I created an internship where I workrd with developmentally delayed children in Lisbon. Unfortunately, I cannot remember many peoples names but a reunion sounds very interesting.

I see you have "???" next to KATIE KORNBLUM on the list, which I guess means you don't feel you have adequate death confirmation. Please take my word for it. Katie's mom, Ruth, was my mother's roommate in nursing school. I last spoke with Ruth 4 years ago after my mom died. Katie committed suicide in the mid 1980's. Her post-Franconia life was spent mostly in mental institutions. A genuine tragedy - when we were kids she seemed like the happy healthy well-adjusted one (this is not meant to be taken as an indictment of Franconia)

Malcolm: I believe the Brasilian guy's name was "Alexi" or "Alexis." I'd always referred to him as, "The Bizarre Brazilian." He was at a party I had at my (then) boss' house on East 72nd Street. Marie Kotchedorf, Victoria Crow and Muff were there. Bob Fink, then working at a publishing house, may have been at that party too. Another event about which my memory fades....

I am still looking for the following: Barbara Kantor who last heard from was living in New Jersey and working for UPS of FEd Ex. Last sighting of Peter Marcus was around 1980-81, when I was in law school and Peter was going to art school in S.F. and living in the Tenderloin. And the last sighting of Jonathan Cairns was in Boston around 1978. I last heard from Bradley Palmer when he had taken a "job" working on a sailboat in the Caribbean and that was around 1978. Help. I would really love to see all of these people at the reunion.

The last time I heard from Peter McMahon Thomson Found (FC 66-68 approx) was in 1984. He was living in Dixon, CA. with a street address of 930 Jeffery Lane. I think he was working as a crop-duster. He mentions in his letter that Rick Parkhurst (same era) Found had recently been to visit him but neglects to mention where Rick was living at the time.

Hi Steve, long time no see. It seems that you must be doing well. I hope so. I remember you as a truly happy person with lots of friends. Can you remember the names of the two people from Brasil at FC while we were there. One was a guy and the other ,as best as I can remember, was a pleasant young woman. I travel to Brasil often so I could or I could have my girlfriend in Rio de Janeiro look them up in a couple of places. I also have a friend in São Paulo who might be able to inquire as well. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking it on. I enjoyed my time there and I look forward to seeing you and many others. Bye for now Malcolm
